SOLO: One City Commissioner Suggested Removal of City Manager During Review

January 17, 2018

St. Augustine City Commissioners held a special meeting Wednesday morning, to review the performance of City Manager John Regan, a day after it was announced that ethics charges had been filed against the city for a contract involving the City Manager's daughter. For the most part, City Commissioners gave a glowing review of Regan's performance, with Leanna Freeman being the loudest voice in favor of how well she believes Regan has done.

Vice Mayor Todd Neville gave a harsh review, and almost immediately called for Regan's job, raising concerns about what he thought were performance issues, and a lack of ability to reach objectives set by the Commission.

We are working on getting video highlights or the review, as well as more insight from Regan and Neville regarding the contract. Stay close for more information.
