The short of the whole story is that this kid was arrested after firing a shotgun onto the car of someone who didn't pay for their weed.
OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - Investigators with The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit have made an arrest in connection with an Aggravated Assault (weapon firing) investigation, which was originally reported on April 30th to the Sheriff’s Office as a Road Rage incident. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the event began as an alleged drug deal, where the alleged victim’s drove away without paying for the Marijuana they received. It ended with the suspected dealer firing several shotgun rounds at the victim’s car at a separate location.
According to the report, an 18 year old female was directed by her 16 year-old boyfriend to pick him up and together they would meet an individual to receive a package. The juvenile told the female that the subject would approach her car window for the delivery. The female victim stated a male subject, who she knew previously, approached her vehicle and handed her a package of Marijuana. The female’s boyfriend then instructed her to roll up the window and drive away, which she did. The suspect later identified as Dallas Philip Jaramillo, 19, (no address given) of St. Augustine entered his vehicle with another subject and began pursuing the female and her boyfriend. They drove into a nearby industrial park, where their vehicle reached a dead end and became stuck in a grassy field. The victims then stated the suspect in the pursuing vehicle fired several rounds from a shotgun at their vehicle, shattering a window and causing damage to the vehicle from the spent projectiles. After the shooting incident, the victim’s left the area and called the Sheriff’s Office from an unrelated location to report the alleged road rage incident, where shot had been fired.
Jaramillo has been charged with 2 Counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Shooting into an Occupied Conveyance and is being held on No Bond. The investigation is continuing.
