PRESS RELEASE - On February 28, 2019, a Town Hall meeting will be held by Mayor Undine C. George at The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in the Flagler A conference room, located on the north side of the building, with its own entrance on the north side. (605 A1A Beach Blvd, St Augustine Beach, FL 32080) at 5:30pm. Parking will be available on the North side of the building, as well.
This meeting will be moderated by Commander Lee Ashlock. In addition, City Manager Max Royle and Police Chief Robert Hardwick will be in attendance. The meeting is open to the public and the public is invited and encouraged to attend. Seating is limited and there will not be outside seating available.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the future of our pay-to-park program, focusing on a sustainable way ahead for our city’s parking needs. Discussion points will include, but are not limited to: parking zones, hourly cost of parking, St Augustine Beach, St Augustine and St Johns County resident discounts, discounts for employees working in the City of St Augustine Beach, methods of payment, hours of enforcement, the possibility of using a mobile app, parking violation fines, protecting the neighborhoods from overflow parking, other solutions to the budget issue, and more.
The public is invited and requested to present constructive solutions, and alternatives on the above issues. A computer and projector will be available for use; power points must be on a flash drive
