Meth, Xanax, Other Narcotics Found During Traffic Stop Of Stolen Car
SJSO - Deputy A. Deleo encountered a possible stolen vehicle while patrolling in the NW District, along I-95. Once the 2004 Mercury was confirmed stolen, he stopped the car and secured the driver.
The driver presented the deputy with an ID card and it was discovered his DL had been suspended since 2004. During that time, the suspect had been caught and convicted 8 additional times for driving on a suspended license.
While conversing with the deputy, the suspect made a spontaneous statement the car belonged to his girlfriend and that he “stole it out of spite because she was seeing another man.” Once arrested, the deputy began to inventory the vehicle and located 31 grams of crystal Methamphetamine, various narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was arrested and take to the SJC Jail and the vehicle was secured for the owner to recover.
