Warrant Issued For Jacksonville Suspect In Deadly Hit And Run
Major Crimes Detective’s along with SJSO Traffic Investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect wanted in connection with this past Saturdays Hit and Run Crash, which claimed the lives of two bicyclists. Within hours of the crash, investigators has garnered various pieces of evidence leading them to the suspected vehicle and potential driver sought for questioning in the crash. The subject would not submit to an interview, nor a review of his registered vehicle, which he stated was not present at the home. Deputies continued their case by serving a search warrant at the house, where the vehicle was located and presented itself in a manner consistent with the dynamics of this type of crash.
Late yesterday afternoon, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the suspected driver, Henry Haigler III, 37, of Jacksonville, Florida. Detectives along with members of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrived at the home in an attempt to serve the warrant, however, no contact was made and occupants of the home stated he has not been present at the residence since the night of the crash.
