New Yorker Brings Coronavirus To St. Johns County

Three people on the First Coast have tested positive for COVID-19, more commonly known as the coronavirus, as of Wednesday night.

 

A 63-year-old New York resident currently in St. Johns County has tested positive. He is isolated and will remain isolated until he is cleared. This is a travel-related case where this individual traveled from New York to attend Daytona Bike Week in Daytona, Florida. The New York Department of Health is leading the epidemiological investigation for this individual.

 

As of 3:45 p.m., the Florida Department of Health says 21 people across the state have tested positive for the virus. One of those positive tests is a 68-year-old man in Nassau County.
